Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort has announced a rich and diverse range of festive activities for the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. From 20 December to 2 January guests have the option of enjoying activities such as lighting of the Christmas tree and carol singing.
They can enjoy theme nights, jazz bands, DJ sessions by the pool, rum tastings, sumptuous dining from around the world, and visits by Santa Claus.
There are optional gala dinner extravaganzas on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
There will be wonderful theme nights dedicated to Mauritian dining, with rum tasting and a Sega dance show. Guests can enjoy theme nights dedicated to Italy, 1001 Arabian Nights, Sicily, and the charm of Istanbul.
Culinary events will feature mouth-watering highlights of Asia, special seafood and lobster offerings, plus the best of Britain and Australia, as well as an evening for succulent French meat dishes. To complement the romantic settings around the resort, expect mood enhancing music with chill sounds by the pool, acoustic and jazz performances and cover bands playing seasonal pop favourites.
There will be a Christmas party with all the classic carols and songs. Look out for “Out of the Ordinary Stuff” such as romantic candlelit dinner for two on the jetty, private beach barbecues, guided stargazing sessions, and Mauritian tapas tastings in the Rouben private dining room.
All the Christmas and New Year events are spread across the resort’s scenically located and charming outlets: the colonial-style Plantation Club, Edgewater, Bar Bleu, the main Mercado restaurant, and the Coral Kids’ Club - a place where Santa likes to visit.
