On this blessed day of Jumuah, we enter the 29th night of Ramadan—the last odd night and possibly Laylatul Qadr.
We must remember this night still holds a golden opportunity. Allah’s mercy knows no bounds, and He does not hold us to our past mistakes when we sincerely turn to Him. What matters most is our present sincerity and our commitment to righteousness.
This verse highlights Allah’s mercy and justice, reassuring believers that past actions committed in ignorance will not be held against them if they sincerely turn to Him. It emphasises the importance of faith, righteousness, and God-consciousness (taqwa) as an ongoing journey.
The repetition of fearing Allah and doing good shows that true piety is not a one-time act but a continuous commitment to self-improvement and obedience to Allah.
