Anti-knife crime campaigner Alison Cope and criminologist Craig Pinkney will share their views on policing and knife crime at a Birmingham City University event next week.

Marking the 20th anniversary of The Stephen Lawrence Inquiry, the free event on Wednesday 20 March aims to raise awareness of Stephen Lawrence’s death and the calls that followed for an overhaul of police procedures and attitudes towards race.

A panel discussion will take place following a screening of an episode from the ‘Stephen: The Murder that Changed the Nation’ BBC documentary series.
