Birmingham-based pay-as-you-can bakery, Lil's Parlour CIC, is going all out in making sure that every child can see Santa this Christmas. The grotto, run by Lucy Scott, owner of Lil's Parlour, in Northfield, will open its door so that all the children in and around the area will have access to a handmade treat regardless of their circumstances.
With Christmas being tough for so many this year, Lucy wanted to offer a grotto where local children can come to see Santa free of charge. The whole set-up was organised by Lucy and a team of volunteers, for any families unable to attend, even if they are outside of Birmingham, there is also a free Santa Zoom call that is available for anybody to book.
“In my area, a lot of the families can’t afford to take their children to see Santa and it makes me so sad this year that children might miss out for reasons outside their control. We all need a bit of magic in these dark times and that's what we like to do at Lil's Parlour, sprinkle magic."
Santa’s Grotto at Lil's Parlour will be open on the 19th, 20th and 21st of December.
