The Board of Trustees of Sporting Equals, a leading voice for race equality in sport and physical activity, confirm the departure of CEO, Arun Kang and thank him for his positive contributions to the work of the Charity.

Nik Trivedi, a long-standing member of the senior management team at Sporting Equals, has been appointed as Acting CEO. Over the past 16 years, Sporting Equals has developed and delivered key initiatives such as the Race Representation Index (RRI), the LeaderBoard Academy, and the Sporting Equals Awards.

These programmes have contributed to the organisation’s mission of promoting greater diversity and inclusivity in sport, and the Board acknowledges the role of the charity's leadership and the wider team in advancing this important work. Sporting Equals remains fully committed to its mission of promoting racial equality, diversity and inclusivity in sport and physical activity.

Nik Trivedi commented: "Initiatives such as the Race Representation Index and the LeaderBoard Academy are important staging posts towards more equitable and inclusive sport and physical activity.
