Prempeh College, a renowned high school in Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Region in Ghana, has made the country proud by winning the prestigious World Robotics Olympiad Challenge.

After tough rounds of competition with other teams from many countries, the school secured first place. The school celebrated their win with pride.

They shared the news via their Facebook page, saying: “Ladies and Gentlemen, we’ve done it again!

“We’ve won the Global title of the World Robotics Olympiad, Unknown Mission Challenge (UMC) 2024.”

Their remarkable achievement was honoured with a well-deserved trophy, recognizing their exceptional talent on the international stage. Meanwhile, the team’s festive celebration after the victory was captured on video and posted on TikTok.

With heads held high, the winning team paraded triumphantly, singing their school anthem and proudly displaying the Ghanaian flag. The World Robot Olympiad is a non-profit global robotics competition for young people.

First held in Singapore in 2004, the competition now attracts more than 28,000 teams from more than 85 countries around the world.
