Following the huge price hikes put on pints of lager at Everton and Manchester United ahead of the new Premier League season, a new study has revealed that, due to inflation, PL pints will cost over £10 by 2037, and over £20 by 2058.
The study from Tipman Tips analysed the price of the cheapest pint of lager at each current Premier League stadium. Then, by factoring in the current UK inflation rate of 4.3 per cent for alcoholic drinks, they were able to reveal when each club would surpass the £10 and £20 marks when it came to stadium pint prices.
The most expensive matchday pints ahead of the 2025/26 season can be found at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, where one pint will set fans back by a staggering £6.35. If inflation on alcoholic drinks continues to rise at its current rate, then a pint at the Emirates Stadium will surpass the £10 mark by 2037/38, and then the £20 mark by 2056/57, estimated to cost £20.53 exactly by this time.
The next most expensive matchday pints ahead of the 2025/26 season can be found at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium. The newly opened stadium has innovated the way that fans pay for pints by introducing a system where fans tap their card at a barrier before collecting a pre-poured pint from a kiosk.
However, this innovation has come at a cost to fans, with the cheapest beer option, Budweiser, setting fans back by a hefty £5.95. If inflation continues to rise at its current rate, then Everton’s cheapest pints will cost over £10 by 2038/39, and over £20 by 2058/59.
Manchester United fans have also been left reeling by huge price hikes on pints this season, after the club raised the price of the cheapest pint, Carling, to £4.95. Old Trafford had previously sold the cheapest pint in the Premier League, at £3.00, but the stadium now ranks as the 12th-most expensive.
Inflation means that Red Devils fans will pay over £10 per pint by 2043/44, and over £20 by 2062/63. Here’s when the top 10 most expensive Premier League pints will surpass £10 and £20 in price.

Fulham currently offer the third-most expensive pint in the Premier League at £5.80. A Craven Cottage will cost more than £10 by 2039/40 but will cost over £20 by 2057/58.
Meanwhile, Chelsea took fourth place, with pints currently priced at £5.70. By the 2039/40 season, pint prices at Stamford Bridge will surpass £10, and by the 2058/59 season, they will have gone over the £20 mark.
Elsewhere, all of Brentford, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to charge more than £10 per pint by 2041/42. However, Spurs will take one extra season to charge more than £20 per pint, doing so by 2061/62.
Then, completing the top 10, inflation rates mean that both Crystal Palace and Leeds United will also demand more than £20 per pint by 2061/62. On the flipside, newly promoted Burnley currently offers the cheapest pint in the Premier League at £3.20, but inflation rates mean that the dreaded £10 pint will hit Turf Moor by 2052/53, with pint prices exceeding £20 by 2074/75.
At £3.30, Liverpool offers the second-cheapest Premier League pint, but the Reds will charge more than £10 per pint by 2052/53, and then £20 per pint by 2073/74. Tipman Tips is the UK’s largest football and horse racing betting tip subscription service.
