Undoubtedly, one of Tenerife’s greatest attractions is the possibility of doing outdoor activities at any time of the year. Thanks to its weather conditions and the diversity of landscapes, the island offers a wide variety of activities to ensure that visitors truly make their visit to Tenerife worth it. These include tennis, golf, paragliding, cycling, hiking, windsurfing and kitesurfing, among others.
The island is characterised by its first-class tourist offer. Both in terms of experiences, with the possibility of activities such as whale watching, enjoying a refreshing drink at a beach club or a treatment at a spa of excellence, as well as tasting its gastronomy, between tradition and the avant-garde, with seven Michelin stars. Another favourite for many travellers in Tenerife is shopping.
The island has several shopping centres, some of which are very exclusive, boasting fashion, perfume and jewellery shops and boutiques where visitors can spend hours. What’s more, with the benefit of more competitive prices than in the rest of Spain and mainland Europe – local IGIC is applied instead of VAT, with significantly lower rates.
Tenerife has an extraordinary range of premium accommodation, including The Ritz-Carlton, Abama. But there are also other exclusive four and five-star hotels, resorts, villas with exclusive swimming pools, charming boutique hotels and rural houses surrounded by spectacular landscapes.
