The Sarojin, one of Thailand's leading luxury resorts, has been named as 'Asia's Leading Boutique Hotel' in this year's World Travel Awards. Announced at the Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony in Vietnam, this globally-recognised award celebrates The Sarojin's ongoing commitment to delivering the highest possible standards for its guests.

Voted for by both consumers and industry experts following a year-long campaign that encourages global participation, The World Travel Awards aim to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel tourism and hospitality industry. Each award sets an aspirational benchmark for other tourism specialists in specific geographical areas, and the annual programme – now in its 23rd year – is renowned as the most prestigious and comprehensive in the industry.

Situated in Khao Lak, and recognised as one of Thailand's “hottest” resorts, The Sarojin sits beautifully on an 11km stretch of pristine white sand; just a 55-minute drive north of Phuket International Airport. Perfectly located and blissfully peaceful, the resort is regularly commended for its outstanding achievements in excellence, service and commitment to sustainable tourism, and offers guests a choice of 3 luxurious guest residences across its 56-residence portfolio; Garden Residence, Pool Residence or Spa Suites. Nestled within 10-acres of tropical grounds – and leading directly onto a secluded beachfront – each room category is designed in contemporary Asian style, and grants access to a luxurious selection of on-site facilities and bespoke services.

Accepting the award for the fourth time following earlier successes in 2006, 2007 and 2008, Owner and Executive Director Kate Kemp said: “All the team at The Sarojin are extremely honoured and proud to have won this global award. The Sarojin team prides itself on delivering a very personal service and delights in tailor-making days to suit each and every guest's own tastes and imaginations. This award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the staff's hard work and truly exceptional spirit.”

The World Travel Award distinction comes hot on the heels of Condé Nast Traveller's Readers Awards earlier this year, which named The Sarojin as one of the 'Best Hotels' in 'Asia & The Indian Sub-continent'; for the fourth consecutive year. Based on personal travel experiences, the awards celebrate “the best of the best in travel, as voted for by people who love travel”. Similarly, the US version of the magazine has just recognised The Sarojin as one of the 'Top Resort's in Asia', with the property coming third in the consumer vote.
