On behalf of the Electoral Committee, the Jamaican High Commission, London, wishes to inform of the upcoming elections for representatives to serve on both the Global Jamaica Diaspora Council (GJDC) and the Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council (GJDYC).

Electoral Committee: The Electoral Committee is responsible for the conduct of the elections and will consist solely of members of the Diaspora.

Positions Open: There will be a total of four (4) positions to be filled with both Councils electing one representative each to serve the UK South region and one representative each to serve the UK North region for both the GJDC and the GJDYC.

Why It Matters: These Councils play a vital role in shaping Government of Jamaica’s engagement with its global Diaspora. Elected representatives will advocate for the interests of Jamaicans in the UK, contribute to national development strategies, and help strengthen the bridge between Jamaica and its overseas communities.

Who Can Participate: Members of the Jamaican Diaspora residing in the United Kingdom, whether through birth, descent, marriage or Jamaican heritage are encouraged to take part in this important process.
