Blackheath’s much-loved Everest Inn is set to sparkle this autumn with the return of its spectacular Diwali celebrations on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th October - an event that has become a highlight of the local social calendar.

Since opening in London, in 2005, the family-run restaurant has built a loyal following for its award-winning Nepalese cuisine and vibrant cultural showcases. This year’s Diwali also known as Tihar or Deepawali promises to be one of its most dazzling yet, following overwhelming demand from the community.

Guests will step into a restaurant transformed with vivid colours, glowing candles and shimmering lights, perfectly capturing Diwali’s spirit of hope, joy and togetherness. The evening begins with champagne and gourmet canapés, alongside traditional tokens of welcome: women will receive a ceremonial Tika and Pote necklace, while men are honoured with a Nepali Topi, a proud symbol of heritage.

The celebrations continue with a candlelit three-course Nepalese feast, complemented by unlimited fine wines and premium beers. To complete the experience, live performances from traditional Diwali dancers will fi l the room with movement, music and festive energy.

“Diwali is one of the most important festivals in our culture – it’s about light, community and sharing joy,” said Yadav Bhandari, owner of Everest Inn Blackheath.

“We are delighted to welcome our friends, family and neighbours to celebrate with us once again.” With limited spaces available, this is set to be one of the most sought-after events in Blackheath this October.
