This October half term, the famous characters of Rudyard Kipling's celebrated classic, The Jungle Book, will come to life as St. James' Court A Taj Hotel, London launch their new “Jungle Book Yoga” class for children. In conjunction with the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces' Kids@Taj programme, this experience celebrates the spirit of English Classics that launched last year with a bespoke 150th Anniversary Limited Edition of Lewis Carroll's iconic classic Alices' Adventures in Wonderland. St. James' Court, A Taj Hotel is bringing to life its second book in the English Classics, Reinvented series, The Jungle Book, with a special emphasis on kids, creating awareness about endangered species and the importance of compassionate conservation in partnership with The Born Free Foundation.

Taking place from 24th – 30th October in association with Tatty Bumpkin Yoga, a company specialising in yoga for children, will be a special Jungle Book yoga escapade.  Tatty Bumpkin will take aspiring Mowglis on a jungle adventure full of movement, music and story telling. Throughout the 30-minute class, children will take a walk on the wild side, meeting some favourite characters from The Jungle Book, including Kaa the snake, Baloo the bear and they will also be taught the corresponding yoga “asana” (position) for each animal.

Designed to encourage children to unleash their imagination, have fun, enhance creativity and aid physical development, the Jungle Book Yoga will be split into two age groups: aged three to five and five to seven. At the end of the adventure, children will relax and tune in to their breathing with a toy tiger placed on their tummy.

After the Jungle Book Yoga class, the adventure continues as mini-Mowglis and family enjoy the hotel's popular Jungle Book Afternoon Tea. Inspired by the characters of the jungle, the tea goes beyond the Bare necessities with treats including Baloo's Himalayan Honey Macarroons, Shere Khan's Masala Chai Éclairs and Mowgli's Jungle Pink Guava & Sweet Basil Jelly.
