The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce in Birmingham is marking International Women’s Day by holding its own celebration at Warwickshire County Cricket Clubs’ Edgbaston Stadium to recognize the progress that has been made to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements. In the presence of Special Guest Speakers; multi-award winning BBC broadcaster and current Chair of Performances Birmingham Limited, Anita Bhalla OBE and communications expert Farzana Baduel - CEO of Curzon PR, the evening’s event will applaud the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women.

Gender parity is an important social and economic issue for all and both women and men are invited to celebrate and be bold for change.

ABCC director Anjum Khan said: “Following on the success from last year and our main speaker Baroness Warsi, you are invited to join us to celebrate women’s achievements locally, nationally and internationally. “The event is expected to attract a wide range of businesses from across the region and it will provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow members and enjoy a vibrant evening of networking in a relaxed atmosphere.”

The ABCC Dinner in celebration of International Women’s Day takes place on Wednesday March 8 and is open to all businesses.
