Azets, the Top 10 UK Accountancy firm, has announced the appointment of Asif Ahmed as Audit Director, as well as promoting Meg Walker (Wolverhampton) and Joel Fentem (Birmingham).
Asif has been appointed as Audit Director and will work out of Azets’ Wolverhampton office. With over 10 years’ experience, he has worked with a wide range of clients, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to multinational listed groups.
As a specialist in IFRS, and US GAAP, Asif has extensive experience in technical accounting, complex group audits, and delivering bespoke assurance engagements designed to meet specific stakeholder and regulatory requirements. He combines strong technical capability with a commercial mindset to provide pragmatic and insightful assurance solutions.
Meg (pic) joined Azets in October 2021 as an Audit Manager and has played an integral role in the growth of the Wolverhampton audit team. As Director, she will continue to work with a wide range of clients, with particular experience in owner-managed SMEs, charities, and academies.
Meg is passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality audits that provide valuable insight and support business growth. Joel joined Azets six years ago as part of the newly established Birmingham audit team.
Having recently been promoted to Director, he works with a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, from football clubs to airports, delivering efficient, high-quality audits through the effective use of technology. Dedicated to building strong client relationships, Joel focuses on understanding each business’s operations and industry landscape.
