From Friday 12 June to Saturday 13 June wildlife experts and specialists will be on site to guide visitors through a range of free activities designed to monitor the wildlife within Sutton Park. Visitors can take part in bat detecting, moth trapping, mammal spotting, bug hunting, stream dipping, walking safaris and plant identification.
BioBlitz opens at 10am on Friday morning with a programme of activities for schools, whilst public events run from 9pm to midnight on Friday evening and from 5am to 4pm throughout the Saturday.
Birmingham City Council’s Senior Ranger at Sutton Park, Danny Squire, said: “It has been a real privilege to show people how they can make a difference to the site by finding and recording a wide range of species. We are looking forward to this year’s event and hope to be able to discover even more about this special place.“
To take part in any of the activities, meet at Boldmere Gate in Sutton Park.
