This festive season, help Macmillan and the West Bromwich BID to support people affected by cancer by visiting Macmillan’s Tree of Light in West Bromwich Town Centre.Write a message of love, hope and remembrance to hang on the Tree of Light in exchange for a small donation to Macmillan Cancer Support and ensure no one faces cancer alone this Christmas.

Melvin Glasby, Chair of the West Bromwich Business Improvement District commented: “We are delighted to be able to help Macmillan Cancer Support this Christmas. Macmillan is a wonderful charity which helps many people around the country. There will be an opportunity to help Macmillan throughout December and we urge local people from all over West Bromwich to support the project.”

9,300 people in Sandwell are currently living with or beyond cancer. By 2030, that number will rise to 16,800.

The challenge we face is changing opinions as more people are living with and beyond cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support is addressing this by offering more services locally that support people beyond medical advice, for example delivering local benefits advice services, cancer self-help groups, Macmillan grants and much more.
