The ‘Birmingham Restaurant Festival’ is seeing restaurants across the city invite diners to enjoy brand-new, limited-edition menus.

Over 40 restaurants are taking part in this year’s Festival, and have developed exclusive dinner menus, with some also offering lunch, showcasing the very best food and drink that Birmingham has to offer. Reservations are now live, with diners being encouraged to sample as many menus as they can, by booking directly through the Birmingham Restaurant Festival website.

With menus ranging in price from under £20, to under £70, all offering extra special dining experiences and new dishes to indulge in, twelve restaurants are offering menus for under £20, including Isaac’s, Rosa’s Thai, Aluna, Bistro Pierre, The Alchemist, Indian Street Brewery, and Malmaison. 21 restaurants are offering dining experiences for under £35, including, Chapter, Trentina, The Oyster Club, Primitivo, Chaophraya, Chung Ying, Dishoom, Lisa & Pann, Jam House, and Plates by Purnells, Michelin-starred chef, Glynn Purnell’s second restaurant in Birmingham.

Included in the participating venues are fine dining restaurants 670 Grams, Qavali, Lasan and Michelin-starred Purnell’s, giving diners the unmissable opportunity to experience fine dining at under £70. Menu highlights include a tasting menu from Purnell’s, featuring seasonal delights such as Brixham cod, scallop ceviche and Wiltshire Downlands Lamb.

A choice of tasting menus from 670 Grams will take diners on a shorter journey, tasting dishes such as curry cured salmon and a strawberry and pea creation featuring pea ice cream, strawberry custard, and a sour cream scone. The alternative experience is the full tasting menu, also including popular dishes such as the ‘Half-Time Balti Pie’ and the ‘Custard Factory Tart’.

Alex Nicholson-Evans, Founder & Director of Living For The Weekend, organiser of Birmingham Restaurant Festival, said: “With the Birmingham Restaurant Festival finally here, it’s truly a wonderful celebration of all the amazing food and drink that Birmingham has to offer, and we want to encourage as many people as possible to make reservations and spend the month joining us on a culinary journey through the city.”
