Downtown In Business (DIB) hosted its first City of Birmingham Business Awards in almost two years at the stunning The Grand Hotel – and the first in-person awards event in the country this year.

After almost 18 months of restrictions, DIB was finally able to welcome over 150 of the cities leading business personalities to celebrate the great and the good of the Birmingham business community to a stunning occasion sponsored by CJM Associates.

Among the big winners on the day were Alex Claridge, who took home the Chief Executive’s Award, Grant Thornton who received the Business of the Year gong along with Tru Powell and Natalie Yesufu Adele-Edwards who took home the Man and Woman of the Year Awards respectively.

Downtown CEO and Group Chairman, Frank McKenna, commented; “It was a pleasure to welcome back some of the leading business personalities from across Birmingham to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work of these business leaders.

“The past 18 months have been difficult for many businesses and DIB are incredibly proud to be able to acknowledge that, and celebrate some amazing achievements in incredibly challenging times.

“I would also like to thank our headline sponsors CJM Associates, our fabulous venue The Grand and our AV and entertainment team Mr & Mrs Grey.”
