Walsall College Fashion students saw their creative designs on the catwalk at Clothes Show Live, held at the NEC Birmingham from 2-6 December. Clothes Show Live is the UK’s premier fashion event and every year it features the UK’s leading designers, top celebrities and expert stylists. The students’ outfits were modelled on The Graduate Catwalk show at the event, which showcases some of the best work produced by talented college Fashion students.

HND Level 5 Fashion student, Michaela Babb, 20 said: “I’ve been visiting the show for years and it is what inspired me to study Fashion, so seeing one of my designs on the catwalk was such a surreal feeling. It’s given me even more excitement and motivation to pursue a career as a designer.”

Curriculum Manager for Fashion at Walsall College, Christine Taylor, said: “The show is one of the biggest events in the industry for fashion, so it was a great opportunity and experience for students to be part of. We are delighted that their talents were recognised and are sure that this is just the start for them in their careers.”

Walsall College also had a stand at the event where staff and students were on hand with expert advice to aspiring fashion students about the courses it offers.
