Primark shoppers will be able to grab a COVID-19 vaccination and some great value summer fashion at the same time at the world’s largest Primark store this weekend.

Primark’s destination store in the heart of Birmingham will be home to a temporary NHS COVID-19 vaccination clinic, until Monday 16 August 2021. The walk-in clinic in Primark Birmingham will offer savvy shoppers, on the hunt for this season’s must-haves, a quick and easy opportunity to get their first or second Pfizer vaccination.

The Pfizer clinic is open to anyone aged 16 or over having their first vaccination, or their second vaccination where the first vaccine was more than eight weeks before. The clinic will be open from 11am to 8pm Saturday 14/08, 10:30am to 4pm on Sunday 15/08, and again from 10am until 7pm Monday 16/08. No appointment is needed and full details alongside information about other local walk-in clinics can be found at https://www.birminghamandsolihullcovidvaccine.nhs.uk

With less than one week to go before isolation rules change on 16 August for people who’ve had two jabs, and nightclub entry restrictions fast approaching in September, the NHS is encouraging people not to miss out on their exciting summer plans and nights out by making sure they receive their COVID-19 vaccination. To make it even easier for young people to get their jab, vaccinators will take over the first-floor fitting rooms at Primark Birmingham this weekend, running them as vaccination pods.

Helen Gyves, a senior NHS nurse from Birmingham said: “We are so pleased to be working with Primark to offer vaccinations to shoppers. COVID-19 isn’t going away, but getting a jab couldn’t be easier. Visit us at Primark from Friday until Monday, or search ‘Birmingham COVID vaccination’ to find the nearest vaccination centre to you. There really is no better time to have your vaccination.”

Neil Ford, Director of Sales at Primark UK said: “Wherever we can, we try to support important local community initiatives, especially in Birmingham where our largest store in the world is located! We’re delighted to be involved in this initiative to play our part in supporting the work of the NHS by hosting the vaccination clinic in our Birmingham store this weekend, making it even easier for people to get their vaccine.”
