Radio presenter Richie Anderson hosted the Brum Hole as the live portal connected the Brummie chums across the afternoon in the spirit of friendship.

New friendships were formed between Birmingham’s Lord Mayor Ken and multiple US based Mayor’s, Brummie dogs made chums across the Atlantic, Zaff from Shabab’s Curry House swapped tips with the famous Crystal Peterson from Yo Mama’s over the portal for the ultimate transatlantic food crossover and the Sandwell Sub Aqua Club rocked up in their flippers to deepdive into Kentucky Lake under which there is a Birmingham.

Local artist, Felicity Blades, recreated an American Gothic painting while Cari across the pond posed as the woman from the painting while Voice and Accent Coach Ellie Forest from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire perfected the ultimate ‘Alright Bab’ with some Brummies from other Mummies and Joe’s Aunties popped down to create their own chaos.

And finally, local historian Rick Sowden battled it out with historic battle reenactor Randell H. Spackman – dressed as a British Red Coat Soldier, at the battle of Birmingham Hill.
