Grand Designs Live, sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, today celebrated it's 10th birthday at the NEC in Birmingham with design guru and presenter Kevin McCloud entering the exhibition in the world's first origami inspired car. The car, made by Lexus, is a life-size replica of the new IS saloon, created from 1,700 fully recyclable laser-cut cardboard sheets. The completed design celebrates the skills of Lexus' takumi craftsmen and women who work on the Lexus production lines. Taking their dexterity skills, honed by folding origami model cats with their non-dominant hand, to a higher level; the Origami Car celebrates their talent and embraces the spirit of Lexus' Creating Amazing global brand campaign.

The exhibition event, running from the 8th-11th October 2015, offers visitors a chance to view the latest trends and unseen products in self-build, from kitchens to gardens and everything in-between.

The show returns to the NEC in Birmingham, with over 500 exhibitors across six different sectors including: Grand Build, Grand Kitchens, Grand Bathrooms, Grand Technology, Grand Gardens and Grand Interiors. With each section boasting a specialised feature, this year's Grand Designs Live is set to better than ever.

Kevin McCloud, design guru and presenter of the Channel 4 TV series, is hosting the four-day run of the design exhibition, while architect and TV personality, George Clarke, will also be making an appearance. Designer and TV presenter Charlie Luxton and interior stylist and designers Sophie Robinson and Daniel Hopwood will also be on hand to give expert tips and tricks.

Lee Newton, CEO of organisers Media 10, said, "What better way to celebrate this 10-year milestone than with a world first? We're thrilled visitors can witness such innovative products and take a look into the future of design.
