Next week will see the staff of Wolverhampton based Charter Court Financial Services (CCFS) put on their running shoes as they take part in the 2016 Great Birmingham Run. The team of 38 runners from the business will be vying to record the quickest team time and the chance of topping the table and collecting the Business Challenge Trophy at the event sponsored by the Birmingham Post. The Business Challenge has been running for more than five years and aims to encourage Birmingham based companies to get fit and work as team, and raise money for good causes. This year the team will be raising money for The Chris Westwood Charity.

This year’s Great Birmingham Run takes place on Sunday 16th October, when more than 20,000 runners will be hitting the streets of Birmingham. The 13.1K route covers the entire city, passing many of Birmingham’s famous landmarks – including Birmingham Central Library, the Bullring and Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

Ian Lonergan, CEO of CCFS commented: “We are very excited to be taking part in this year’s Great Birmingham Run.  The runners are very much looking forward to battling it out for the Business Challenge Trophy alongside with many other leading local businesses. We’ve been training hard over the last few months and there is some healthy competition amongst the CCFS team as well as against the other local businesses.

“We have a fantastic team at CCFS and we always look for ways to make work a positive and rewarding experience. Events like the Great Birmingham Run are a great way of bringing the team together, and all for a worthy cause.”
