In January 2014, Jamie woke up paralysed from the waist down due to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
Refusing to accept a restricted life in a wheelchair, Jamie climbed a mountain and embarked on a remarkable journey of adventure and sports. He has represented Wales in rugby, plays wheelchair basketball for Cardiff, and made history as the first disabled squash player in the Welsh Open Tournament.
A multi-award winner, Jamie completed 12 extreme challenges in 12 months, raising £250,000 for UK charities. His journey of overcoming anxiety, depression, and severe dyslexia has shaped his successful career as an inspirational speaker.
Jamie is committed to showing that disability does not define one’s abilities, sharing powerful messages on diversity, overcoming adversity, neurodiversity, and how businesses can become more disability-friendly. You are invited to the event at Exchange Station, from 10am to 12pm.
Start your day with casual networking, an introduction to The Directors Box, the UK's newest private members club for business owners, and an unforgettable talk from the amazing Jamie McAnsh.
This event promises to leave you inspired, moved, and even laughing as Jamie shares his incredible story and insights. The event is complimentary, but a £10 donation kindly requested, with all proceeds going to Elsie’s Story—a charity founded in memory of Elsie, who tragically lost her life in the Southport attacks in July.
