An open forum discussion on African identity in the context of the UN's 2015-2024 International Decade Of People Of African Descent.

BTWSC/African Histories Revisited and TAOBQ (The African Or Black Question) present in association with Friends Of Marcus Garvey Bust Collective and Brent Museum and Archives the sixth Marcus Garvey Annual Pan-Africanism Presentation 2023: Identity.

A family-friendly event, this year, history consultant Kwaku assisted by community activist Nana Asante will facilitate a discussion among participants and special guests to interrogate the question of African identity, bearing in mind that we're in the UN's 2015-2024 International Decade Of People Of African Descent (IDPAD) initiative. Not to mention the recent launch of the UN's Permanent Forum For People Of African Descent.

The forum is meant for people to improve our knowledge of issues around African identity, pan-Africanism and IDPAD, invoking the "each one, teach one" mode. It also marks the 136th anniversary of the birth of the pan-Africanist icon Marcus Garvey.

It’s produced by BTWSC/African Histories Revisited in association with Friends Of Marcus Garvey Bust Collective @ WGLC and Brent Museum and Archives.
