Based on the beloved Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye film, the merry musical White Christmas comes to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre this December. South Staffs Musical Theatre Company returns following their successful 2014 production of Oliver! to tell Irving Berlin’s tale of two famous song-and-dance men who stage a show in a scenic, snow-topped Vermont inn.

Penzance, Cornwall's most south westerly town has a unique Christmas calendar to celebrate the festive season in 2015. Beginning on November 28th, the town comes alive with a mix of Christmas lights, entertainment and culture. Penzance's locals are passionate about their rich historical past which also plays a unique part in the town's festive celebrations, which are open to all.

Fabulous florals, wonderful window boxes and gorgeous gardens were celebrated at the annual Haringey in Bloom awards. Dozens of green-fingered residents from across the borough took part in this year’s competition, and the most brilliant blooms were rewarded at a ceremony at the Sunshine Garden Centre.

A British man has completed the build on an apocalypse-proof bunker in his back garden... in rural Lincolnshire. Following on from the worldwide success of his Ejector Bed (over 5.5m views on YouTube), British inventor Colin Furze is back with a brand new project. Teaming up with Sky 1 alongside their new series You, Me & The Apocalypse, Colin has turned his back garden into a massive underground bunker.

A first for St. Paul’s Church in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, and for Jewellery Quarter jazz quintet Timeless, as they bring their brand of jazz to the balcony of the church this Friday 20th November.   This makes for a “rather unique jazz club setting, especially with the licensed bar” according to band leader Thomas Hinks.  “I’m especially looking forward to the amazing acoustics of the church” he went on.

The Wolverhampton Orpheus Male Voice Choir will be in fine voice at the city's annual Civic Carol Service next month. The traditional service, which is open to all, takes place at Darlington Street Methodist Church on Wednesday 9 December, 2015, from 3.30pm and will be led by the Reverend David Lavender. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served afterwards.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) has announced that a thoroughly transformed SFMOMA will open to the public on Saturday, May 14, 2016, offering nearly three times the previous exhibition space, featuring 260 works from the Fisher Collection, a first showing of more than 600 artworks promised to the museum, the debut of the new Pritzker Center for Photography and an outward-looking architectural design that weaves the museum into the city as never before.

The world's youngest DJ who is just two years old has a dedicated following of thousands of fans thanks to his ability to work the decks. Instead of spinning-tops, 3-year-old Oratilwe Hlongwane is spinning discs, working the decks as the world’s youngest DJ. A.k.a DJ AJ, whilst still learning to put together words.

Victorian Arcade in Walsall is delighted to announce that their ever popular Santa’s Grotto will open on Saturday 21st November. Santa will ride his magnificent horse drawn sleigh around the town at 9.30am before officially opening the Grotto at 10am for the children of Walsall to come and visit. The Grotto will be open until 3pm on Saturday 21st November then every Saturday in the run up to Christmas from 10am until 3pm.

A series of frames are popping up around the UK this autumn to encourage people to take a moment to appreciate, and capture, a different view of something familiar. Placed in 20 locations around central London, Chester, Birmingham, Weymouth, Canterbury and Southampton, the specially designed frames all capture a sight that allows passers-by to see a different perspective of a popular area.

Birmingham’s internationally renowned Christmas Markets return to the city for almost six weeks from Thursday, 12 November, to Tuesday, 22 December. Consisting of both the Frankfurt Christmas Market and the Christmas Craft Market and spanning approximately a mile through the city centre, the Birmingham Christmas Markets will be open from 10am to 9pm each day, offering visitors the chance to sample an array of delicacies and delights from around the world. Last year’s event drew 5.5 million visitors to the city.
