Edgbaston is set for another stunning summer of men’s and women’s international cricket after the ECB announced Pakistan and West Indies are heading to Birmingham in 2024.

Following on from Saturday’s record-breaking Women’s Ashes IT20, England Women return next summer for an IT20 versus Pakistan, before the Men compete in the same fixture two weeks later. Edgbaston will also host a five-day Test Match against West Indies for the first time since 2017, while Vitality Blast Finals Day returns to the venue for a 12th year in a row.

Here’s what’s in store:
• England v Pakistan, Women’s IT20 - Saturday 11 May
• England v Pakistan, Men’s IT20 - Saturday 25 May
• England v West Indies, Men’s Test - Friday 26 to Tuesday 20 July
• Vitality Blast Finals Day – Date TBC

A record number of tickets have been sold for this summer’s internationals and demand is once again expected to be high next year, with more people than ever requesting tickets for matches at Edgbaston. Fans can register now for the best chance to get access to tickets for matches in 2024 at edgbaston.com/ballot. Or beat any Ballot process with Priority Club Membership, which is on sale now for only £25.

Chief Executive, Stuart Cain said: “It’s already been an amazing summer of cricket at Edgbaston, with over 118,000 fans joining us for a memorable Men’s Ashes Test and a record-crowd for the Women’s Ashes IT20.

“With today’s fixture announcement, fans can now start making their plans for 2024 which is set to be another cracking year of men’s and women’s international cricket. Anyone who saw last year’s T20 World Cup Final will know we’re in for a treat as Pakistan Men visit Edgbaston in May.

“But it’s great that England Women kick-off our 2024 international calendar. The buzz around Birmingham for women’s cricket is huge and we saw that passion at Edgbaston on Saturday for the Women’s Ashes IT20.

England Men versus Pakistan match-up is a re-run of last year’s thrilling T20 World Cup Final as Jos Buttler’s men lifted the trophy for the second time to become double world champions. And with Pakistan boasting an explosive seam attack that could feature Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi, plus Bears favourite Hassan Ali, spectators can expect fireworks when the two sides meet again.

Edgbaston’s 2024 internationals start when England Women face Pakistan also in an IT20. The last time the sides met, at this year’s World Cup in South Africa, England smashed 213 runs on their way to a record win.
West Indies then arrive at Edgbaston in July for a five-day Test for the first time since the ‘pink ball’ Test back in 2017, which was the first day-night Test in the country. Vitality Blast Finals Day, the biggest day in domestic cricket, sold out earlier than ever in 2023 with fans traveling from around the UK for the showpiece T20 event.

Ticket sales activity will open from Wednesday 30 August, but fans can now register for tickets at edgbaston.com/ballot. This will close at midnight on Wednesday 27 September.
