Christian Toon has has been appointed at PwC in the Midlands as a Senior Manager in the firm’s technology risk team, specialising in cyber security from information management and storage company, Iron Mountain, where he spent almost eight years leading the firm’s information risk programmes across the UK, EU and India.

Focussing there on advising businesses in the public and private sectors on their information security responsibilities, prior to joining Iron Mountain, Christian had an operational compliance role at Next plc. He has extensive experience in information security strategy and implementation, gap assessments and analysis, incident response, business continuity management and information management.

He has been trained by the UK Government on Information Assurance, is a fellow of the Information and Records Management Society, an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

In his new role at PwC in the Midlands, Toon will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office and will be part of the technology risk team that focuses on helping organisations of all sizes with their cyber security challenges.

With Christian joining the firm, there are now over 70 people working in PwC’s technology risk team in the Midlands. The team specialises in providing advice and assurance over data, information security, business systems and major programmes.
