A record number of exhibitors will be welcomed as part of new-look business expo hosted by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
The Chamber is introducing a new format for the Greater Birmingham Business Expo on Thursday 3 October, with an expanded seminar and workshop programme and more exhibition stands spread across three floors at Edgbaston Stadium. The biggest networking event of the year will feature nearly 100 exhibition stands – more than any previous GBCC expos.
Two seminars, featuring experts on AI and cyber-security have also been confirmed, as well as five pop-up workshops.
The pop-up workshops will cover the topics of:
- How to stand out on social media
- Developing young professionals
- The power of PR: Telling the story of your business
- Understanding your customer through effective business development and Marketing
- Mental health in the workplace
With more than 500 delegates expected to attend, the expo will also offer more networking opportunities. Up to 80 places are available for the morning Speed Networking session.
The chance to win a Christmas party night worth £500 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham is also on offer to attendees.
Marcella Meehan, event manager at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “We’re very excited to welcome so many businesses to this year’s expo, making it a brilliant opportunity to spark new connections across our region and beyond.
“With a range of workshops and seminars on offer, as well as our ever-popular speed-networking, we hope there will be something for everyone.
“I would really encourage attendees and exhibitors to make the most of this event, and leave with new knowledge, a broader network and a renewed appreciation for the plethora of industries we are so fortunate to have here in Birmingham.”
