Jamaican Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness and his Canadian counterpart, the newly appointed Mark Carney, were among those who recently met to discuss future cooperations regarding security, regional issues, and education and training.

Whilst attending the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80), in New York, for PM Holness, he was at the world leaders’ gathering to present a platform for his country to reaffirm its commitment to international cooperation and shared action in confronting global challenges. In sharing a long history of friendship, mutual respect and close cooperation with the North American country - including through the Canada-CARICOM Strategic Partnership, Mr. Holness emphasised: “We is looking forward to continuing our partnership with Canada to advance shared goals for sustainable development, prosperity, and regional stability.
