Chasetown-based company, the Tara Group, have announced its sponsorship of Red Star Athletic Football Club (Red Star A.F.C), a local football team based in Aldridge, in the Midlands.
Tara Group, which comprises Cameron Homes, Keon Homes and Chasetown Civil Engineering, has donated £800 towards Red Star A.F.C’s football kit, covering the 2024-2026 seasons. This contribution has come at a crucial time for the team, which faced the risk of sitting out the upcoming season due to the high cost of new kits.
Red Star A.F.C. has teams starting from seven years old to ‘all-ages’. It is registered with The Football Association and has been active within Walsall for many years.
In the 2024-2025 season, the 'all-ages' team will participate in the First Division of the Sutton District Division and the Staffordshire County Cup. With Tara Group’s sponsorship, the team can now focus on its games without the financial burden of new kits.

Through the Foundation, Tara Group supports and hosts fundraising events and initiatives, such as Red Star A.F.C., as well as gifting grants, to give back to the communities it is involved in. The Tara Group is a family-owned independent company founded in 1974 by Noel Sweeney.
The Group remains family owned and consists of Cameron Homes, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Keon Homes. To date, Tara Group has delivered over 2,000 homes through Cameron, and Keon Homes and has had an involvement in a further 40,000 through Chasetown Civil Engineering, working with major UK housebuilders.
The Group has won many industry accolades and both Cameron Homes and Keon Homes are certified as Great Places to Work. The Group is recognised by the HBF as a 5-star housebuilder and is a member of the National Home Builders Federation (NHBF).
