TravMedia UK has announced that next year's IMM, the travel and tourism industry's leading single-day event for the media, will take place on 13 March 2017. The showpiece event connecting journalists with travel industry PR professionals has already attracted a flood of early bookings. Once again IMM's home is QEII Centre, the largest dedicated conference and exhibition space in central London.

IMM 2017's website is now live enabling exhibitors and journalists to pre-register. The site features the official IMM 2017 video, encompassing highlights and endorsements from TravMedia's sold-out IMM 2016.

This year's event, which took place on 14 March 2016, attracted over 275 journalists and almost 150 leading tourism & travel brands, and saw over 4900 meetings pre-booked online through IMM's Meetings Manager site.

Exhibitors attending IMM enjoy a dedicated branded table from which to brief leading travel journalists, editors and broadcasters in 15-minute meetings, offering the media everything from news hooks to press trip opportunities. Journalists can pre-schedule their meetings using Meetings Manager or simply visit exhibitor tables as they wish.

IMM 2016 attracted editors and senior writers from publications including BBC Good Food, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Daily Star, ELLE, Good Housekeeping, Lonely Planet Traveller, MailOnline, Marie Claire, The Guardian, The Sun, The Telegraph, The Times, Travel Weekly, TTG and Wanderlust.

Exhibitors ranged from the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism to AccorHotels and Macao Government Tourist Office to British Airways i360.

Henry Hemming, TravMedia UK's Managing Director, said: “We're already planning how to make IMM 2017 even better for journalists and industry delegates. Post-event surveys showed attendees were highly satisfied with this year's event - but we're convinced we can go one step further on 13 March next year.”
