Twin sisters, Doris Ward and Loris Pryor, from Detroit in the USA, have made history as they celebrated turning 100 years old.
The sisters, who have 9 children and several generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout their lives, they’ve been inseparable, and even now, they still share activities like trips to the casino, with their most cherished memory being dancing.
Though they couldn’t get up and dance on their 100th birthday, they still enjoyed the music by tapping their feet while their family celebrated around them. A modest and blessed Loris recently said: “We are always together with everything — everything.
“To live this long, I never thought it would happen or not happen. I never thought about it.”
As their family and friends recently gathered to celebrate their centennial milestone, Doris added: “All I can say is that it’s a blessing to be here at 100 years old.
“The good Lord blessed us to still… see our family and that was a blessing.”
For Doris and Loris, reaching this age is a treasured gift, with Loris saying: “Life is very precious, or I wouldn’t be here.
“It’s just precious to live this long.”
