A printing and packaging firm is set to put Wednesbury on the global map after signing up to be one of the sponsors of the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 event at Shrewsbury.
Quantum Print and Packaging, in the West Midlands town, is sponsoring the much-anticipated event which takes place at The Shrewsbury Club in October and will see international and leading British tennis players compete in what will be the biggest women's indoor tennis event in the UK this year.
Giles Foden, Managing Director at Quantum Print and Packaging, said: “We’re all extremely excited to be involved in the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 Shrewsbury this year. To have world-class tennis talent competing right here on our doorstep is brilliant for the region and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
The event will be covered live across numerous online live stream channels where similar events reach audiences of a quarter of a million. Quantum Print and Packaging, which has been manufacturing printed and plain carton packaging in the region since 2005, works with high street names, blue chip firms and SME brands.
Managing Director at The Shrewsbury Club, Dave Courteen, said he’s excited to have the firm on board. “We want to thank Quantum Print and Packaging for their incredible generosity sponsoring the Players Tunnel at this much-anticipated event,” he explained.
“Shrewsbury has been holding tennis events for the past 15 years and it is only because of the support we get from businesses like Quantum that this has been possible.” This festival style tennis event is co-organised by the LTA, The Shrewsbury Club and Shropshire Festivals.
“We’re proud to bring such a prestigious event to Shropshire which gives everyone the chance to watch world class tennis on their doorstep,” Dave added.
