Families visiting Victorian Arcade in Walsall were treated to a special Superhero Fun Day featuring a whole host of fun activities including a visit from the iconic Batmobile. Throughout the day a replica of the famous Batmobile from the original 1989 movie starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, was situated at the entrance of the shopping arcade for shoppers to pose and take pictures with.

Furthermore, staff at Victorian Arcade’s independent retailer Bennetts Toy Store hosted a free fancy dress competition for the children of Walsall. The winner, eight year old Jamie Worrallo, stole the show in his Deadpool costume with Wonderwoman Arya Rogers, also eight years old, being announced as runner up. As winners both Jamie and Arya were presented with a selction of superhero themed goodies courtesy of Bennetts Toy Store.

Many of the youngsters who dressed up in a wonderful variety of superhero costumers had their look completed by the centre’s free face painter.

Darren Griffiths, Senior Regional Facilities Manager of GBR Phoenix Beard, owners of the shopping arcade, commented:

“Our Superhero Fun Day was a great success and it was wonderful to see the centre so busy with local families enjoying the free entertainment. The Batmobile was incredibly popular with the children and of course the big kids. We pride ourselves on being a shopping arcade for the local community so we were delighted to be able to offer this free event for our loyal shoppers and local residents.”
