Artisan food and gifts, mulled wine, toasted marshmallows, free face painting and a Ferris wheel are just some of the exciting things on offer at a new Christmas market arriving in Wolverhampton.
The market takes place on 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 November 2025 on Victoria Street between 10am-8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays. Visitors will be able to have a go on the Ferris Wheel, enjoy a mulled wine, cider or hot chocolate, have a toasted marshmallow and browse the food and gift stalls on offer including artist stalls, handmade gifts, specialist chocolate and sweet treats.
As part of the offer, on Sundays only, visitors will be able to ride the Ferris Wheel for free, along with free face painting on all days – making it the perfect day out for families. It’s worth noting that the Ferris Wheel will be in operation on the other days the market is open for a small fee.
Councillor Chris Burden, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs and Skills, said: “We are excited to be able to add to our Christmas offer in the city centre this year.
“The market opens the same day as our City Centre light switch on, so people can really make a day out of it, getting in some Christmas shopping and enjoying a warm drink before staying to watch the lights being switched on by the Mayor of Wolverhampton and Santa Claus himself! The market is also open when our popular Lights in the Night 3D projection show returns to St Peter’s on 28 and 29 November, from 6pm-9pm, so you can really make the most of your evening in the city.
“I encourage everyone to pop along, support the traders and really get in to the festive spirit.”
