La Rustichella, the Italian based global luxury truffle brand is ramping up its marketing efforts in the UK to enhance awareness of its portfolio of prestigious truffle products and ultimately to drive UK sales.

The company, with a turnover of €15M, is hoping to partner with a roster of high-end retailers/distributors, as well as stimulate usage of the wide range of products as a specialist premium ingredient, amongst chefs operating in the restaurant, hotel and exclusive out of home dining providers. In addition, La Rustichella aims to extend its sales via duty free channels via both airport retail sales and in-flight dining.

The marketing campaign kicked off in January with an exclusive dining event at London's celebrated restaurant Roast, which saw the brand collaborate with a fellow Rome-based winery. Attendees included potential retail prospects and representatives from priority media titles.

This month, La Rustichella will be hosting a dedicated event for select chefs, retailers and specialist media at Westminster Kingsway college's fine dining offering, The Escoffier Room with a five-course menu designed by the college's third year students. In March, La Rustichella will make its debut at Hotel, Restaurant & Catering – part of the IFE event – showcasing its extensive range and demonstrating the appeal to those catering for the more discerning diner.

Further activity planned for the brand includes additional trade and consumer show activity, comprehensive media relations campaign, third party promotions and collaborations on and offline with like-minded brands and a targeted campaign with Great British Chefs.

Commenting on the plans for the upcoming year, La Rustichella owner Rita Brugnoli Sales Director said: “We are excited to be extending our reach in the UK. We currently have a limited number of distributers here, with good sales also being generated via Amazon and our e-commerce platform.

“We can see huge potential for our brand in the UK and look forward to forging meaningful, mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with retailers and other relevant sales channels, all of whom will represent the unique high-net worth target audience which La Rustichella has successfully serviced for the last 38 years.”

Brand manager Giovanni Intilla adds: “We are confident that the La Rustichella brand will be well received in the UK, both as a luxury culinary ingredient for chefs in a variety of hospitality and catering settings but also as a gift or gastronomic treat when sold direct to the discerning consumer. We have a comprehensive dedicated marketing programme planned for 2024 so watch this space!”
