Award-winning online vegan and gluten-free cake brand Positive Bakes, which was started during lockdown by a husband and wife whose son had a dairy allergy, has launched its biggest ever range of bakes, delivered in 100% plastic-free and compostable cardboard packaging.

The Christmas range of delicacies is their biggest new product development range to date, with 13 new products on offer, including 'buttery' Shortbread (original and chocolate), Mint Choc Brownies, Mince Pie Slices and Chocolate Orange Mini Loaf Cakes.

Positive Bakes has also launched its first ever savoury products within its Christmas range, featuring Tomato and Basil Scones, Sea Salt and Rosemary crackers and Sumac and Oregano crackers.

During the UK's first lockdown the brand matched purchases of cake with donations of cake to frontline NHS workers across the nation, leading to them being featured in the Independent's '10 best independent food brands to support during coronavirus lockdown', which quickly followed with coverage in other national titles such as BBC Good Food and Tatler magazine. Earlier this year they were featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch show.

Co-founder Aatin Anadkat said: “This is our most ambitious range of new products to date and I am proud of what we have developed.

“Each gift set has been carefully crafted to suit different budgets and tastes. Positive Bakes has grown beyond our wildest dreams since early 2020 but we have never lost sight of our original mission, which is to deliver beautiful and delectable vegan and gluten-free cakes with minimal impact on the environment.

“All our bakes are delivered to your door in 100% plastic-free and compostable packaging.” Products are available for next-day delivery across the UK.
