Black Country Chamber of Commerce has selected Patron-member Paycare as the next Member of the Week, after a period of very significant success for the organisation. Member of the Week is a Black Country Chamber initiative to celebrate the great work that our members are doing and to highlight the success stories in the local area.

Paycare is dedicated to protecting its policyholders from everyday healthcare costs, and as well as supporting individuals and families, they work in partnership with local businesses too – offering employer-paid and employee-paid schemes.

A proud not-for-profit organisation, every spare penny that isn’t used to enhance the standard of services to policyholders is shared with good causes. Many of these are local and the firm has donated over £2million to UK charities to date.

Paycare was selected as the Member of the Week as they’ve exceeded their sales their turnover targets by a huge 50% over just the last three years, with much of this success coming from their existing customer base. The company changed its focus to centre on relationship building and the fruits of this are already showing, with an increased customer satisfaction rating of 99.4%, an increased volume of proactive compliments, and a reduction in complaints. Changes to the internal structure of the company has seen employees actively empowered, and exciting alterations to the office environment have been made to ensure it’s a genuinely happy place to work.

Kevin Rogers, Chief Executive of Paycare, commented: “I’ve found the Chamber support a huge benefit to me. The Chamber Platinum Group meetings have really challenged me to make transformational changes to the organisation, and these have been great news for the business. The Group has also given me the courage to make decisions that I may previously have been hesitant about. It’s fantastic to mix with smart and intelligent business leaders that can give you a new perspective on an issue and help you work through decisions.

“Our current focus is on actively supporting local businesses with the challenges around mental health and wellness in the workplace, and we’re already working on evolving our offer to support future generations.”

Black Country Chamber of Commerce wants to support businesses to grow and succeed. Our Member of the Week is an excellent example of how this is to be achieved. The Black Country is the Industrial Heart of the UK with many high quality and niche businesses working together to develop further to be market leaders.
