Inspiring The Next Generation Pupils at 24 Wolverhampton schools are set to tuck into healthy desserts next week as the city celebrates Healthy Eating Week 2015.
Walsall College Performing Arts students are putting the finishing touches together for their final stage performances of the year as part of the college’s Venue Drama Festival.
Back by popular demand, children from all over the country will compete in one of the biggest writing contests of the year – taking on the challenge of putting pen to paper and writing a 500 word story to the theme of ‘Strange Events & Peculiar Happenings’.
Free drop-in jobs and advice sessions for young people in Wednesbury and Tipton have been set up. Personal advisers from Sandwell Connexions will be on hand to talk about apprenticeships and employment and provide support with CVs and interviews.
Pupils have received an award for their school after learning about the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse. Children at St Stephen’s Primary School in Heath Town were presented with a Health and Wellbeing Award for raising awareness of substance misuse – becoming the first school in the city to do so.
