School leavers and teenagers not in work can get expert advice on apprenticeships and training at a Sandwell Connexions event. Jump Start Your Future is being held on Monday July 13 from 11am-2pm at Sandwell Council House, in Freeth Street, Oldbury.

Senior members of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce are to be given the opportunity to bid for a £25,250 MBA Corporate Scholarship scheme developed in partnership with Aston Business School. This scheme consists of one fully-funded scholarship, worth £25,250, for a place on the Aston one-year full-time MBA programme starting in September 2015. The offer is only open to Patrons and Premier members of Birmingham Chamber.

A determined headteacher and her son, who are stepping up to scale Mount Kilimanjaro next month, are on target to reach their lofty fundraising goal. Marie George, 39, of the Stockland Green School, and her 18-year-old son Charlie, a former Arthur Terry School head boy, hope to raise £10,000 for Lupus UK, following their ambitious climb on 6 August.

The World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen the cooperation between the two organizations. ESN has also become a member of WYSE Travel Confederation.

Walsall College held its prestigious V6 Awards Dinner on Tuesday 30^th June, to celebrate the success and achievements of the college’s V6 students.  During the evening, 23 outstanding students were presented with Student of the Year Awards for achieving excellence in their area of study, along with an additional award for overall V6 Student of the Year, which was this year awarded to two students for the first time.
