School leavers and teenagers not in work can get expert advice on apprenticeships and training at a Sandwell Connexions event. Jump Start Your Future is being held on Monday July 13 from 11am-2pm at Sandwell Council House, in Freeth Street, Oldbury.

Staff from Sandwell College, training providers BCTG, Nacro, Rathbone, Juniper and  Nova  will be among experts available to give guidance on traineeships, apprenticeships, further education and employment.

Councillor Simon Hackett, cabinet member for children's services, said: "This is one of several events held throughout the year that help our young people to become more self reliant and better able to manage their personal and career development.

"At the event, each young person will be provided with accurate, up-to-date and objective information abut career opportunities available to them now and in September.

"I would encourage young people aged 16-18 years to go along and make the most of the expert advice available to them."

The free event will be held in Annexes 1, 2 and 3 contact Sandwell Connexions for further information on 0121 569 2955 or visit www.connexionssandwell.co.uk
