This summer, The Grand Hotel Birmingham is inviting guests to step into a world of glamour, music, and indulgence with ‘Cabaret and Cabernet,’ a new Thursday evening spin-off of its entertainment and speakeasy concept: ‘Downstairs at The Grand Hotel.’

Hosted in The Grand Hotel’s basement restaurant, Isaac’s, every Thursday, ‘Cabaret and Cabernet’ pairs a sumptuous three-course dinner and a glass of Prosecco with a dazzling evening of live cabaret, delivered by world-class theatre performers. Expect rich harmonies, West End-worthy vocals, and iconic show tunes, performed just a few feet from your table.

For just £35 per person, this weekly experience is the perfect escape, date night or birthday celebration where guests can add even more sparkle to the night with a bottle of Champagne Collet, Brut 1er Cru Art Déco, available as an optional upgrade for £75. ‘Cabaret and Cabernet’ launches further to the successful launch of ‘Downstairs at The Grand,’ a late-night speakeasy hidden within the hotel, which celebrates the glamour and secrecy of a bygone era.

With velvet voices, smoky piano riffs, and candlelit cocktails, the event, which takes place every Friday and Saturday evening from 10pm, ushers in a golden-age atmosphere that harks back to the Prohibition-era speakeasies of the 1920s. Johan Scheepers, General Manager of The Grand Hotel Birmingham, said: “Downstairs at The Grand has been received so well, and it’s incredibly exciting to launch Cabaret and Cabernet as the next step.

“It’s brilliant to see such a strong appetite for this kind of experience, people are really embracing something a little different, and that’s exactly what we set out to create.” Bookings are now open to reserve your table.
