Often billed as ‘Britain’s most musical family’, the Kanneh-Masons are seven aged from 24 to 11 years old; all play either violin, piano or cello. They have won numerous prizes and awards and the children all attend, or have attended, London’s Royal Academy of Music and its Primary and Junior Academies apart from Jeneba, who instead has chosen to study at London’s Royal College of Music.

Sheku, third eldest in the family, shot to fame as the winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition, the first black musician to win the award since its launch in 1978. He then became a household name after being invited to perform at the 2018 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which was watched by billions around the world.

He has made two chart topping albums, Inspiration and Elgar, as well as being a part of the family’s first album, Carnival, released in November this year.
