Students, schools and colleges across Caerphilly County Borough marked a momentous day on Thursday 14th August as they celebrated their AS and A-Level results.

This significant milestone in the academic journey of young learners is the beginning of a new chapter in each of their lives. Many students will now move onto further education by attending University, embarking on apprenticeships or stepping into the world of work.

Councillor Carol Andrews, Cabinet Member for Education, praised this year’s students, saying: “A huge congratulations to all the students across the borough who collected their AS or A-Level results this morning.

“Your hard work has paid off and I hope you are proud of your achievements. I wish you every success as you decide the next steps in your academic journey”.

Keri Cole, Director of Education, emphasised the collective effort which contributed to yet another successful school year.

“A-Level results day highlighted the dedication shown not only by our students but also by the teachers, support staff and families who encourage our students every day. I would like to thank everyone who has played a part in making this another successful year for learners across the borough.

“A huge congratulations to each one of you who is celebrating results”. Caerphilly County Borough Council extends the congratulations and best wishes to all students in their next endeavours.

GCSE results will be announced on Thursday 21st August.
