It’s one of the most-shown comedy clips on television, but now Del Boy falling through the bar has now been voted the best moment ever in Only Fools and Horses in an exclusive RadioTimes.com poll commissioned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brilliant sitcom.

The iconic moment, which sees Del, played by David Jason, fall sideways through an open bar whilst talking to Trigger, featured in the series six opening episode Yuppy Love, first broadcast in 1989 and was an instant hit, immediately cementing its place as one of the most memorable moments in British sitcom history.

Work on a new nine-metre high mural to recognise the resilience shown by students through the pandemic and inspire hope for an aspirational post-pandemic future has been commissioned at The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester’s Openshaw campus.

The intention is that the mural will create a visual time capsule that reflects the feelings, fears and hopes of students and colleagues, and represent the exciting opportunities young people across the city will have to create a brighter future as the region embarks on its post-pandemic recovery.
