People from Wolverhampton have collectively volunteered over 5,745 hours of their time to The Way Youth Zone since it opened in January – that’s enough time to walk around planet Earth 3 times. Over 200 people from the West Midlands have donated their time to help over 3,000 young people in Wolverhampton.  Andy Roberts volunteers at The Way, an Invitus Games Gold Medal winner who lost his leg in the army, he said:  “The Way Youth Zone is fantastic for our community and our children. It’s good to get the community together. There are so many activities for the youth of Wolverhampton to get involved with.”

The Way Youth Zone has such a diverse group of volunteers from all cultures and of all abilities.   Andrew Walker, Volunteer Manager, said: “I’m really proud of The Way Way Youth Zone’s volunteers. They all work incredibly hard across a wide range of projects to make sure we can deliver a world-class service to Wolverhampton’s young people. Volunteering is a brilliant way to boost your confidence, it looks great on a CV and genuinely helps young people around here.”
