Bulawayo-based makeup artist Progress Manduna, who recently clinched three awards at the inaugural Sarah Dee Creations Africa (SDCA) All Female Artist Awards (AFAA) is proving to be a true definition of creativity.

Driven by passion, self-taught make-up artist, Progress Manduna embarked on her professional journey in 2010 rising to become a household name in the makeup industry. “I recently won three awards at the inaugural Sarah Dee Creations Africa (SDCA) All Female Artist Awards in Zimbabwe,” she said.

Through the power of her hands, Manduna’s creativity is shown by her ability to communicate captivating and inspirational messages. “I can bring out any emotions through make-up,” she said.

“I do not just do bridal make-up.” Manduna has worked on some of the country’s big stars like Sandra Ndebele and Madam Boss, among others.

As if that is not enough, the makeup artist has also created amazing and realistic fake wounds that have left her clients in awe. “I have been working with Pro for a long time,” said one of her clients.

“She gets me,” she went on. Another said: “I came here with a certain idea but this fake wound that she has created is amazing.

“It goes well with the theme for my photoshoot.” Her make-up artistry has also seen her work on male figures to give them great face-beats through the installation of artificial beard.
