For decades, global fast food giants have been catering to Indians used to eating from local eateries. In recent years, they have moved towards fusion of regional flavours.

Western fast-food was a novelty when McDonald's opened its first outlet in an upscale Delhi neighbourhood in 1996. But the chain persisted, reinventing itself by tailoring its menu to local tastes.

Multi-award-winning KIBOU Japanese Kitchen & Bar has opened its fourth restaurant located High Street, in Solihull.

Taking guests on a culinary and sensory journey to Japan, new KIBOU Solihull is a feast for all the senses. Exuding glamour, the design mixes opulent, lush fabrics and traditional Japanese block prints with exotic geisha murals and uber modern projector animations, all created by talented Gloucestershire illustrator, Martyna Sabadasz.

A Bristol-based burger business has stormed the National Burger Awards 2022 with its winning signature creation. Danny’s Burgers in Brislington, an area in south east Bristol, won over an esteemed panel of industry judges at the UK-wide event with The Beef Chucky 2.0.

The burger features a 50-day dry aged beef blend, dry aged ex-dairy chuck roll, Kerrymaid American cheese, a beer cheese sauce, Kühne sliced dill pickles, mustard, candied jalapeños and fresh white onions, encased in a seeded brioche bun.

Tipton-based pie makers Mad O’Rourke’s Pie Factory is raising a toast this week as it celebrates the anniversary of the launch of their popular Pies by Post home delivery service.

Faced with the prospect of being unable to welcome diners to their Tipton pub and restaurant during lockdown, Mad O’Rourke’s owners launched Pies by Post in March 2021 to bring its famous pies to the masses. 

A brand new restaurant is opening its doors in Warwick this week, marking the next chapter for one of the town's well-known pubs. No. 34 Garden & Grill has opened its doors, transforming the former Racehorse pub on Stratford Road into a unique bar and restaurant for Warwickshire.

The venue is the brainchild of Jonathan Carter-Morris and Marc Hornby, who run Kenilworth's oldest pub, the Virgins & Castle, as well as award-winning catering business Caviar & Chips and Shropshire-based boutique wedding venue Stockton House.
